90 Days: Friday, October 11 (Day No. 6)

(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Awoke, 6:33a

Updated Ivory + Rose Diarist, 7a-7:15a

RSC admin, 7:15a-7:30a

Worked at Westbrook High School, 8a-3p

Visited Sebago Brewing Company, 3:45p-4p

We're way overdue on paying out a friendly wager between our club and Chicago House AC.

Both clubs were matched up against each other in a Twitter-based crest competition in December, and the legendary club administrator Peter Wilt and I bet a pack of a local beer on the result. Chicago House AC earned 54.6% of the 251 votes, so I've owed Peter a 4-pack of Sebago Brewing Company's Streets of Rome for almost a year.

One of the complicating factors I didn't consider when proposing the bet was beer-shipping laws, so this stop was a last effort to see how we could get Peter the beer we've promised him.

Watched racing, 4p-6p

It's Friday afternoon, we have nowhere to be, and Keeneland is racing--enough said.

Watched Chef's Table: Noodles, 6:30p-8p

The Chef's Table series on Netflix is a favorite, and the episode on a Los Angeles chef known for his fresh pasta was as good of a reason as any to make one of my favorite dishes, cacio e pepe.

Asleep: 8:53p
