(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Most of the focus of today's work was putting the finishing touches on prep for tomorrow's club event, but a highlight of the day was the announcement that Maine's new professional club Portland Hearts of Pine will be hosting an evaluation for Maine players next month.
I've been a supporter of that club since they first announced their intentions in November 2019, in large part because of their potential to be catalysts for positive change in Maine soccer. And helping one of our club's charter players register for the evaluations of a professional club in his home state after spending years traveling the country and the world chasing his dream of being a professional soccer player is just one small sign that Maine soccer is trending in the right direction.

Sixby Hanover is entered in his twenty-fourth race of 2024 this Sunday morning, so I sent our partners a quick update about the race with the PPs.
