90 Days: Monday, November 11 (Day No. 36)

(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Awoke, 8:03a

Ivory Pine Syndicate admin, 2p-2:15p

Sent out partner update for Crimson Pine's race at Plainridge Park in Plainville, MA tomorrow afternoon.

Another race, another outside post. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Listened to Maine Historical Society Programs podcast, 4p-4:45p

Today was a holiday, and my vertigo-related ear issues have been worse the last couple days than they've been the last couple weeks. So it was a pretty quiet, uneventful day.

I did listen to the Maine Historical Society's most recent podcast featuring an interview with the two curators of the current exhibition on vegetarianism in Maine, John Babin and Avery Yale Kamila, while preparing dinner. (It was steak, but don't tell.)

Anyway, "Work with the Maine Historical Society to curate an exhibition about Maine soccer when the Maine Soccer Hall of Fame is up and running" has been added to the to-do list.

Watched Rhode Island FC vs. Louisville City FC playoff game, 7:45p-8:45p

I'm a big fan of a professional New England-based team representing its own state instead of pretending to represent the entire region, and I've watched more Rhode Island FC games on NESN this season than Revolution games on Apple TV or FOX.

Last night's viewing was a replay of the teams' USL Championship playoff game played on Saturday, which the first-year club from Rhode Island won. They've qualified for the Eastern Conference final in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday night.

My interest in USL games is obviously piqued because Portland Hearts of Pine is scheduled to make its debut in the second division next spring, but I'll become an even bigger fan if/when they adopt promotion-relegation.

Asleep, 9:26p
