(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Prepared for and hosted Rosevelt SC AGM + Kick-Off!, 6a-1p
Our club hosted its inaugural pre-season kick-off event on November 14, 2014 at Westbrook High School, and we just hosted our 11th annual pre-season kick-off event ten years later at Westbrook High School.
Within that the intervening decade, our club has grown from three youth teams to eighteen youth teams and we've continued to expand and improve our members' on-field and off-field experiences.
After celebrating our club's decennial season and 10-year milestones last year, the focus of this year's event was on taking stock of what we've accomplished so far, clarifying our club's short-term and long-term goals, and identifying strategies and practices that will put our club in the best position to achieve those short-term and long-term goals.
This event is the unofficial start of our next season, it's one of the few opportunities we can get the entire club and all our members under the same roof, and our 5-month off-season has official ended.
Attended RSC Academy social, 1p-2:30p
Our RSC Academy teams are our club's oldest boys' and girls' teams, and the teams feature 17U, 18U, and 19U players.
One potential tradition we're piloting this year is to complement our kick-off event with a social at Junction Bowl, our apparel sponsor. Unlike our younger teams who won't start their full-time programming until January, our Academy teams will host a couple team training sessions over the next couple weeks, and each of the two teams will play in a college showcase event in Massachusetts over the next couple weeks.
