(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Our club's 11th annual AGM + Kick-Off! event is in a couple days, so that's been the primary focus this week.
One of the new aspects of our annual event this year will be the formal presence of Maine's new professional soccer club Portland Hearts of Pine.
Their co-founder and co-owner Gabe Hoffman-Johnson has actually attended two of our annual kick-off events in 2019 and in 2023 as a panelist on our Aspirations Forum and Q&A Session. But this will be the first time his club will participating in the event since they announced their club's name, and they'll have an on-site presence that will include donation boxes for their "Play It Forward" initiative.

We had our second wave of parent-teacher conferences, which accounts for the longer day than usual.

The focus tonight was finalizing our agenda and schedule for this weekend's event, but there was also some work required to tighten a few loose ends related to our most recent player evaluations for a few age groups last weekend and prep for our two oldest teams' upcoming college showcases in a few weeks.
