90 Days: Wednesday, November 20 (Day No. 45)

(This is the time of year when the horse racing season for the Ivory Pine Syndicate is winding down, but the soccer season for the Rosevelt Soccer Club is gearing up. Here's a 90-day glimpse of the day in the life of a horse racing managing partner and soccer club administrator.)

Awoke, 4:46a

Worked at Westbrook High School, 7:30a-2:30p

Rosevelt SC admin, 2:45p-3:15p

Rosters, apparel, and training schedules. That's what it's all about right now.

Visited Norton Farm, 3:15p-5:15p

Plainridge Park closes its meet next week, and racing in Maine goes into a 4-month hibernation on December 23. So our partnership is focused on closing this year, while also planning for next year.

We had a very good conversation with our trainer Mike Graffam during his evening chores and his horses' feed time, and we have some bittersweet clarity about the next steps for our current pacers--and potentially even a new pacer.

Attended National Honors Society Induction Ceremony, 6p-7:15p

Our daughter was inducted into the National Honors Society last night, and it was so enjoyable to see her and her school and club teammates to be recognized for all their hard work in the classroom.

Asleep, 8:52p
