The Athletic:
Sweden is intensely proud to be European football’s great outlier. As in Germany, the country’s clubs must--by law--be majority-owned by their fans. The teams of the top-flight Allsvenskan are not properties to be traded by private equity houses or corporate capitalists or multi-club networks or wolverine princelings. The status was hard won, and remains fiercely guarded.
