A scout’s aim is to assess every aspect of a player under consideration. There are variations on the theme from club to club, but most will broadly follow a "four-corner approach" analysing technical (ball control and positioning), psychological (decision making and awareness), physical (movement and balance) and social (communication and teamwork) qualities. Scores are given for each, entered into the club’s database and, eventually, lead to conclusions drawn.
