The first steps have been taken toward the 2026 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Open Division qualifying tournament kicked off this weekend with 22 games that featured amateur clubs that have goals of being the tournament’s next Cinderella story. The 22 winners will advance to Round 2 which is scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 11-12. It will be the busiest qualifying weekend on record with 54 games on the docket.
