John C.L. Morgan is a co-founder and co-owner of the Rosevelt Soccer Club, a Maine-based multigenerational soccer club in its 12th season.

Who is your favorite team you've been affiliated with?

Our club's inaugural U18 team was a really enjoyable group to work with, and we'll always remember that team's trip to the USYS Eastern Regionals in West Virginia during our inaugural season.

Do you prefer a lake, or the ocean?

Camp Rumpus on Sebago Lake.

What is your favorite season?

Autumn.

What is your favorite movie?

8 Mile.

Do you prefer a baked bean supper, or a lobster bake?

Bean-hole baked bean supper at the United Church of Christ at North Gorham.

What is your most-used emoji?

What is your favorite TV show?

The Wire.

What is your favorite place in Maine?

Milbridge.

Which country would you like to visit?

Örebro, Sweden.

What is your favorite book?

One Man's Meat (E.B. White)

Who is your favorite club you haven't been affiliated with?

The three Icelandic clubs we've worked with since 2019: Breiðablik, Grindavík, and Vikingur Reykjavik.

What is your favorite fair or festival?

Fryeburg Fair.

What is the most underrated part about Maine?

Roque Bluffs.

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Lester Freamon.

What is your favorite smell?

Wood smoke on a cold winter day.

What is the most overrated part about Maine?

Acadia National Park during the summer.

Who are seven people you've never met that you'd like to have dinner with?

Anthony Bourdain, Penny Chenery, Johan Cruyff, Steve Labrecque, Barack Obama, Frances Perkins, and Teddy Roosevelt.

Do you prefer shoveling, or raking?

Snowblowing.

What is your greatest fear?

Heights.

What would be you last meal?

A large, salami Italian with extra pickles and no green peppers; all-dressed chips; and an Alligash White. Topped off with an Old Fashioned around a fire pit for dessert.
