The first three days of the First Round of the 2026 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup are complete. On Tuesday, the evening saw cold weather dominate the Midwest and home teams dominate the scoresheets. Out of the 8 games played, 7 were won by home teams. Amateur teams across the nation also suffered as there was just one “Cupset”. Vermont Green knocked off New England rivals Portland Hearts of Pine in front of a raucous crowd at Virtue Field in Burlington.
